Speed dropped way below Minimum Guaranteed Speed

Hi All,

I've been struggling with the speed of my FTTC connection of late, so I thought I would run a few speed tests.

To my surprise the speed is over half what it should be.

I've replaced my vDSL filter with a new filter, but it has made no difference.

I've run a speedtest from BTW Performance Tester (btwholesale.com) via a cabled connection and it reports a figure of 15.15Mbps, I used to see a figure of around 32Mbps, so I'm down over 50%.

Quite how long its been like this, I cant be sure, but maybe a few weeks.

It may also coincide with a fibre utility company pulling fibre cables around my estate on 17th February 2022.

I did experience a issue like this a few years ago and it was resolved by Openreach recrimping connections between my house and the green cabinet.

I think they may need to come out again.

Here are the stats from the Plus.net portal.

Product: Unlimited Fibre
Estimated Download Range: 27 - 35Mbps
Estimated Upload Range: 4 - 6Mbps
Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 24.9Mbps
Current Line Speed (Download): 17Mbp
