Still having issues after 4 engineer visits.

I have had multiple issues since joining.  I now have a crackly line  which i was told could be the reason for my slow speeds, its been a few weeks we've had engineers come out but nothings changed.  We were told that BT will have to fix the line but were given no time frame of when, so I'm wondering if I should switch to someone else or if anyone out there can tell me if there is an actual date for the line to be fixed.

thank you.

@rubix1942 That sounds strange. If you have a 'crackly line' and PN are aware of this, they should be able to tell you when BT/OR are likely to fix it - usually within 2-3 days of you reporting the issue.

Re: Still having issues after 4 engineer visits.

Thanks for your post @rubix1942

I'm really sorry to see you're having issues with your phone line & broadband.

I can see an engineer went out on the 10th February and identified the fault's with the cable underground, which needs to be replaced, but to further complicate matters, the ducting to draw the new cable through is blocked.

The engineer's raised what's known as an A55, which is a request for permissions, usually traffic management, before they're able to dig up the road as they'll need to ask the council & highways agency to put up diversions etc.

We should receive an update on this within the next 5 working days.

I can also see we've been updating the support ticket logged Here and we'll continue to provide information as soon as we know more, but feel free to post back with how it goes and if you need further help.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
