Switch From Virgin to Plusnet? Does it use Virgin Fibre?

Hi

I want to switch fro Virgin Media Fiber 100 Mbs to Plusnet....However will Plusnet use Virgins Fibre ? or do they use BT?..

BT broadband say my Max speed will be 3MBS....very slow and no good for me...I have Virgin cable to my House.. will Plusnet use that?

Thanks

Rob

@sasman1964

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately only Virgin can use Virgin cables.

Plusnet are a BT reseller, they can only offer products that BT sell. Indeed Plusnet is owned by BT and has been for 9 years. So the speeds you can get are given here http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.Telephone?URL=&SP_NAME=a%20service%20provider&VERSION=...

Do you think it is accurate?

I'm not thinking so in my case.

Why do you think the speeds are not correct?

Have you tried to use the address checker version and does this say something different? Have you tried you next door neighbours address as well? You can get to the address checker from the previous link provided.
