Hi
I already have a Telewest branded hub where I think the FTTP could go and interested to know if the engineer would be willing to remove that and use the holes already in place? This box have been there since before I moved in 2017 and never been used.

Is your connection overhead or underground, and where does it enter your house in relation to that Telewest kit? You can remove that anyway - I doubt Virgin will even know it is there.

Thanks for the reply John.
Looks like a really old and shabby box on the outside with no visible cable coming in or out. I had cladding and rendering done recently, so could covered.

Where does your phone line enter your house, and is it underground or overhead?

OK, it is OH then. When installing FTTP, they will run a cable exactly parallel to your current one and probably use the current entry hole for your copper connection, although you can sometimes persuade then to create a new entry, but note the CSP (outside box) and ONT (inside connection) are usually on the same wall, although you can discuss this with the installer on the day - some are more accommodating than others.
