Using own router

Hi

quick question, I'm switching over from virgin to Plusnet fibre. just wanted to check how to set this up to use my own router?.

I've got a white Openreach box on the wall with an ethernet out. does this need to go into the plus net outer (set to bridge mode) then into my router, as it is now with virgin. or can I connect directly using my log in details?.

Thanks

Re: Using own router

@Duggy252 welcome. You'll find the details here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

From your post , I gather that you have Full fibre and an Openreach ONT. In which case Refer to the 'what settings should I use for a router  connected via a BT Openreach modem' ( the ONT is effectively a fibre modem )

You don't need to use the Plusnet router at all. Its bridge mode is only used to enable it to operate as a modem for a VDSL(FTTC) connection .
