Re: Very low download & upload speeds on a new fibre connection

@jab1  The results already provided are somewhat contradictory, the BT wholesale test in message #11 giving 36.59 Mbps suggest a 40/10 FTTC connection, however the checker results in message #14 show observed speeds of 70.5Mbps down and 20Mbps Up which would apply to a Fibre Extra (80/20) connection so a bit of a mystery, although I have seen cases where the observed speeds are not correct.

What would confirm the product type is the router stats but they have not been provided

Re: Very low download & upload speeds on a new fibre connection

"Don't think we are going to see those results, @Baldrick1 , but if people ask for help, then decide not to give us some valid data to go on, what can you do?"

I don't see the point of posting any further results because I now know what's going on.

There is no problem, I just thought that there was, basically because I was confusing megabits & megabytes.

I've spoken to Plusnet this morning & they're upgrading me to the top "Unlimited Fibre Extra" package, and once

that kicks in I'm confident my speeds will be back up to what they were before.

Thanks again for all the help.
