Very spotty almost unusable fibre connection today (Lancaster/Morecambe Area)

While the connection isn't dropping out at the router, there is definitely packet drop outs and other connection stalls.

Almost every web page either wont load at all (its not a DNS problem before anyone pipes up) or will only load part of the page (often without any formatting so it looks like a plain text page from the 1990s).  Reloading the page multiple times will allow the full page to eventually load.

This isn't only happening to myself but other people I know in the Lancaster/Morecambe area on plusnet are getting the same problems.

Playing games is extremely intermittent to with packet loss and/or complete inability to keep a connection for long.

Looks like part of the net infrastructure has failed to me, yet plusnet is report zero problems officially (as usual).

Normally connection is fine, so please sort this major (maybe local) problem out!

Thanks for your post @PT206

I'm sorry to see you're having issues with your connection.

I've raised a fault with our suppliers to investigate further as testing your line isn't working for some reason.

We'll provide an update as soon as we know more but let us know how it goes.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
