doesn't matter pc or laptop - just something plugged into the router with an ethernet cable.

Right, I will give it a go, thank you. Isn't the admin page the one I was seeing on my phone anyway? In the second screenshot? Thanks.

@Ashfleet Yes that was but I have a feeling we may need to delve a bit deeper, hence @dvorak 's request.

Re: Wi-fi asks me to sign in, blue light, says connected

I had this happen this morning. Got through to tech support and they said to check what the username came up as. It has reset to the original supplied one rather than the one I changed it to. Had to go to advanced settings, disconnect (I think) and then re-enter the correct username and password and that seemed to do the trick. I might be missing a few steps though!

@KrisH82 That had crossed my mind, kind of, but until we see what the OP's router says, it may be a red-herring. Thanks for the input, though.

This is what I see when I go to the admin page on my laptop with an ethernet.

Hello @Ashfleet

For some reason your routers has logged in using setup account rather than you actual account login, this is why you get the blue light but unable to access the internet.

You need to enter your actual plusnet username.

Hope this helps

Dan.

Re: Wi-fi asks me to sign in, blue light, says connected

Fix

@Ashfleet Interesting and helpful - @KrisH82 was spot on!😉

It looks like either you had a power cut or surge overnight that reset your router to default. All you need to do is re-enter your details to over-ride that 'setup@plusdsl.net' user.

@Dan_the_Van was just a bit quicker than me. 😀

Oh great, I'm so glad it's an easy fix! Thank you. How do I reenter my details?
I tried clicking 'enter your broadband username and password' and it just says 'you're already connected to the internet. No further setup is needed'. Thank you!

Re: Wi-fi asks me to sign in, blue light, says connected

@Ashfleet Sorry for the delayed reply - real life intervened.

There is help for this under the 'Help & support tab at the top of the forum page - unfortunately I can only tell you to click the 'Broadband bubble - for some reason I can't expand them on this machine at the moment - but on one of the sub-sections on there it guides you through manually inputting the required information.

One of the other contributors may be able to give you the actual link.

Re: Wi-fi asks me to sign in, blue light, says connected

I followed the instructions but it doesn't recognise my username. I can log into the member centre just fine with my usual user name and password but it won't accept them here.
