You are still on a static IP though, meaning you are skipping the piece of kit we think we've fixed.  Are you around for the next 30 mins and willing to test if it works without it?

Gameplay freezes often, being oro's flicker its just aweful. However with VPN game play was flawless, spike rarely, ping is generally flat, gameplay stable:

Cheers @OldGamer I've destroyed the static IP now, let us know how your gaming goes without a VPN.

Though it looks like people over on the WoW thread are still having issues with a dynamic IP but would be interesting to know from a PoE perspective.

Re-tested without the VPN client (and following the change back to dynamic IP address) and unfortunately the lag and freezing were straight back, WinMTR test results below:-

Ah that’s disappointing, thanks for trying that for us still. Sadly I didn’t change your connection back to a static IP before I left the office today and as I’m off work tomorrow maybe @JonoH can do this instead. I’ll follow up on Tuesday.

I wasn't on a static IP address before (unless someone put one on my account for testing) - it's not something I'd bought from Plusnet previously.  No worries though - everything is playing fine through the VPN client thanks.  Enjoy your day off.  🙂

Reading through the thread again it looks like I didn't explicitly say I added a static IP, but the change I made to your connection was essentially done by adding one.

No worries though - everything is playing fine through the VPN client thanks.

I don't know whats been changed but personally I haven't had to use a VPN at all all week, it's been smooth as butter for me. I just hope when my broadband moves to my new place it's still gonna be smooth.
