Is there a way to make them all go to my answerphone?
Thanks

* Both your answerphone and 1571 are set to pick up after the same number of rings
* Someone's called while someone else is already leaving a message
I suspect the best thing to do would be to reduce the number of rings before your answerphone picks up.
Hope that helps

I don't know how many rings the 1571 is set at, my answerphone is only on 5 rings so hardly enough time for me to get to the phone. If I set it any lower no callers would get an answer! The messages are being left at different times, for instance one on my answerphone last evening whilst I was out, another on 1571 this morning while I was on the phone.
Does this mean that the two different situations determine whether or not 1571 kicks in or the answerphone? If I disable 1571 (can I do that?) will all messages go to the answerphone?

My answerphone doesn't take messages while I'm on the phone. That's normal.

I never use 1571 as I find that having my own anwering machine is much more flexible (and I can see if I have messages).

You can change the number of rings before 1571 answers, that may help.
[quote=Call Features User Guide]From the main menu, dial 2 for Personal options followed by 3 for Calling options
You'll be told which setting Voicemail Extra is currently using. Dial 2 to change it followed by:
dial 0 to choose 'immediate' (0 rings)
dial 1 to choose 'short' (4 rings)
dial 2 to choose 'medium' (7 rings)
dial 3 to choose 'long' (10 rings)
