@Bcresswell do you and the person you're calling have a mobile Smartphone ?
If so, then why not both use Whatsapp . Connect your mobile to your Wifi and its free to call via Whatsapp.

unfortunately not. Its actually for elderley relative to call a patient in a care home in australia but it is difficult to call the care home and get put through so easier to call their mobile.
have looked at telling her to use a 3rd party but they use a 0844 number and struggling to find cost of calling a 0844 number on plus net. Relative was previously paying £14 a month for discounted international calls but still cost about £5 a call.

Ok, look at https://www.localphone.com/ they are 2.9p/min to an australian mobile https://www.localphone.com/call/australia . Have a look at the local numbers facility https://www.localphone.com/services/local_numbers#l
They allocate a local UK number for each of your contacts , so you then just dial a local number ( free for 1 hour assuming you have the Anytime call package ) and localphone route that to your contact number ( the Aus mobile in this case ) and charge your localphone account the rate for the call. You can create a Localphone account for free and just add PAYG credit when you need it.
and struggling to find cost of calling a 0844 number on plus net
0844 numbers arent cheap to call...

Fabulous thankyou. I have set this up for her as 1st 5 min call is free and will update if all goes well.
She is going to be super happy if this works as already transferring her over from T*** T*** to plus net saving a bout £20 a month and ir was costing her another £14 a month to make 1 phone a month to brother in Australia.
