Call protect 1572 issue.

Hi I have come over from BT where I could add the last number to my blocked numbers. Is it the same here on Plusnet?
I have Call Protect enabled in my account but when I ring 1572 it says "This service cannot be connected".
Who can help?

@Wolfieboy

I do wonder if 1572 really has been activated on your line.  If it has, then the attached may be useful. Certainly you should be able to block the last number. But the system is less good than that you had with BT.

It certainly has, as I said. It's ticked in the box on control panel.

Re: Call protect 1572 issue.

I wondered if 1572 was active because of the message that you are reporting.

I would be inclined to ring PlusNet, if you can, and see what they have to say.

It can happen - I don't know how - that the PlusNet system reports a function as active but it isn't on the Openreach systems. The usual first step seems to be to uninstall and then reinstall. I don't know whether you could do that using the control panel; I do know that, if you ring them, the PlusNet team can do it. That would also check whether your problem is caused by some other issue affecting the service.
