Caller id not working

Hi there, the past couple of days our caller id has not been working. The phone just displays external call. Is there anything i can do to get this working again?

I have dialled the *#234# number and it says it is enabled.

I have also tried a different wired phone directly into master socket and it does not work on that phone either.

Any help would be appreciated.

@jgl22  - It's active at our end and the backend system too. To see if we're dealing with crossed line issues can you dial 17070 and check the number it reads out is correct?

Just to update as of today our phone line now does not work at all.

Our internet is also playing up and keeps going down.

 


Any help would be appreciated as my daughter works from home.

Evening @jgl22 

I'm really sorry to hear that's happened.

After testing the line I can see a fault known as a loop condition which can be an internal issue with the way things are setup.

Are you able to try another phone at all or the phone on its own with the router unplugged?

After the 3rd of November I will have a limited presence here as I have moved to a new role

Hi yes i have tried another phone and it displays no line on the screen. This was plugged directly into the openreach mk4 master socket

I have also tried with the faceplate removed (just to rule that out) and the phone via a different filter directly into socket and still no line. Im assuming i have to report this as a fault?

The router was also unplugged.
