External wiring damage caused by the weather, trees, Acts of God, etc. etc. are not chargeable. Deliberate damage, however, is!

Update - I have just talked to the fitter who is installing a uPVC window and fascia (not the part with the wire attached) and he advised that they would have no problem with removing the connection to the wooden fascia and re-attaching it after replacing it with plastic without involving BT

Just don't mention the fascia change if it develops a fault when it's been put back. Wink
