I have just transferred to Plusnet. Is it possible to check that my landline is still ex-directory? I have searched for the option but was unable to find anything.
I would like it withheld but with option to override if that is still available?
Thanks
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@CheviotMare Welcome to the forum. 🙂
New connections and migrations to Plusnet are ex-directory by default.
I would like it withheld but with option to override if that is still available?
Yes, that's available, and can be arranged when one of the Help Team spot this topic.

@CheviotMare You're very welcome. 🙂
Systems are rarely 100% right of course, and it has been known for lines to be in the directory when they shouldn't be, so maybe worth mentioning it when there's a staff response to this topic. 🤞

Hi @CheviotMare
Welcome. Doing a quick search, it appears you'd have to dial 1470 then the number you want to call thats displays your CLID. So I would amend your phone book to the people who you want to know who you are, and then put to them 1470 # then their phone number.
Never tried it, so I don't know if it will work.

Hi,
I would also like to know, as since joining Plusnet, I have been getting cold calls. They are from India saying they are from Sky. When I asked them to remove from their database, he refused and was rude.

Dear Help Team,
I have read other similar posts and would be very grateful if my number could be permanently withheld.
Many thanks for your help.

Just to clarify - 'permanent withhold' is a facility that can be requested that means your number is not forwarded when making an outgoing call (with or without 1470 override).
Ex-directory is the default with Plusnet Home Phone, though if the number is listed in the paper version it won't change until the next issue.
The current status can be checked here: https://www.thephonebook.bt.com/person/

Dear Help Team,
Yes it is a permanent withhold that is also required meaning my number is not forwarded when making any outgoing calls (with or without 1470 override).
Would be grateful if someone could action this for me.
Much appreciated.

Hi @CheviotMare
Thanks for getting in touch. I have now placed order as requested - Withhold all numbers with override. This should be completed within 24 hours but usually it is done within 1-2 hours.
