Landline - Fault on internal wiring

Hi there,

I recently became unable to make or receive calls on my landlines. I went through the trouble shooting on here and narrowed it down to a socket which when unscrewed had dodgy wiring.
I rent from a housing association so called them and they advised me to get in touch with BT. BT say they are unable to find my line on their system, that I'm not registered and to get in touch with my provider to resolve this.
Does anyone know where I should contact to get this fixed?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Landline - Fault on internal wiring

Assuming your broadband and phone service are provided by Plusnet (since you're posting on this forum), then you would normally contact them in the event of a fault. They would normally call out Openreach to fix a fault, however they are only responsible for wiring up to rhe master socket. Any other internal wiring is your ( or the landlords ) responsibility I'm afraid.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
