No dial tone

My phone line seems to be dead, but I do have broadband. I used the text message service earlier today, but after texting NEXT about 6 hours ago (12.33pm), I've heard nothing. The automated response said I should receive a result within 30 mins, but may take longer.... how long is longer?

@skipster73  Cheers, I've found a fault externally so raised it to Openreach, I've left you a ticket here @ https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=236606594 with the full spiel but I hope for it to be fixed by Monday.
