Re: Porting phone number to another provider

@PigSoftSteve Are you using a desktop/laptop or a mobile device - although AIUI, that is not a consideration?

Can you post a screenshot of your screen?

OK - so you should have the option - can you post the screenshot requested, please?

Re: Porting phone number to another provider

@bmc I was thinking of using A&A. My son uses them. His path was simpler as a different fibre provider put fibre in his road so he could start a new contract with Zen and then move his phone number to A&A after his fibre contract started.

I can see a big pink 'Start a topic' box on there.

@PigSoftSteve

A moderator may split this topic out from the original thread.

Apart from that, has your question re "copper lines" been answered to your satisfaction.

Yes, maybe I wasnt clear when I said 'at the top' , what I should have said was 'at the top of the topic list'

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Porting phone number to another provider

Yes, thank you. I believe I now have reassurance that my Plusnet home FTTC broadband (that is all I need, and it works reliably) is not in danger and is likely to be available as FTTC for quite a while yet - i.e Beyond December 2025.

Thanks for your help and your patience!

@ac2017

You can set your A&A account up in advance with a new number so you're ready to port when required. Also allows you to ensure your phone works with A&A.

Just remember don't port until after the change to SOGEA is complete. You can find out your PN options by phoning the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632

Re: Porting phone number to another provider

Perhaps a Superuser can float the idea with Plusnet staff, to get Plusnet's "Heather" to record a instructional video

for the "Plusnet Help" YouTube channel , on how newcomers can post their questions on the community forum ?,

and directions on how to choose the most appropriate forum board, so that moderators don't spend all day moving topics.

Re: Porting phone number to another provider

It might just be me, who has been around, I admit, for 13 years, but I had no problem posting my initial post on the correct board - all those years ago.
