removing 1571

Hello

I am having problems with my home answering machine due 1571 taking my messages, how can I remove this option seem impossible to do in account settings?

Re: removing 1571

Not an answer to your question, but might be a temporary solution: can you shorten the time on your home machine so it beats the 1571? Or (unlikely as you haven't found anywhere to turn 1571 off entirely) can you lengthen the time on 1571 so the machine wins? (If you can find such a setting, I'd leave 1571 there anyway, as a backstop, in case the machine gets full, or you have a power cut.)

Anyone know where @homer4 needs to look to find either of those settings (lengthen 1571, or turn it off)?

@homer4

This link might work https://www.plus.net/member-centre/phone/call-features

If not try navigating

Home >Phone > "Add or Remove call features" >"Other Call Features" >"Voice mail"

Hope this is the answer

Well I have been here, but not possible to deselect something part of a package. 1571 needs to be removed as my mother cannot be looking elsewhere for her messages. Messages need to be in one place and for her that is on her BT phone base. How can it be done?

You have to either call customer support on 0330 1239 123 or wait for a staff member to pick this up

For a phone call it needs to be the account holder or someone who has authority to act on their behalf.

Where did you look?  Try this - Call Features | Member Centre | Plusnet

Other Call Features (not included in our features bundle)

1571 is the "Voicemail" service, which you should be able to untick.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
