Re: Billion 7800N IPv6 no longer working

I have tested using PPPoE instead of PPPoA over the period of about a week .
It made no difference to the problem, therefore I have gone back to PPPoA.
I have also now reverted back to the 1.06e UK firmware. The 1.06f firmware from the Australian Billion site locked up the IPv6 side of the router a number of times. The IPv4 side continued to work when this happened. This did not happen before the upgrade to 1.06f.

Re: Billion 7800N IPv6 no longer working

Saw this morning that the Australian Billion site now has 1.06f.dc1. Checksum is NOT the same as 1.06f that I have already tried. Will try it out when I get some time to spare.

You will need to replace my ipv6 prefix with yours....

I too am on the trial. I have a 7800N & am struggling with ipv6.
The IPV6 prefix. Should it be obtained automatically by the router, or do I need to request it from plusnet?
Cheers 🙂

Re: Billion 7800N IPv6 no longer working

It should be obtained from Plusnet automatically by the router. Login to the router with telnet, run a shell, cd /var, cat radvd.conf. The prefix details should be a few lines down.
Following a suggestion from another user I am currently using firmware 1.06b-6 from the australian web site. It seems to work much better for IPv6 on Plusnet.
EDIT: Changed firmware version from 1.06-6 to 1.06b-6

Thanks Pete.
Can you confirm the firmware version please? I suspect a typo.
