IP6 trial extended?

I've just noticed that my router has had an IP6 address since Friday.
Is IP6 getting a wider rollout?  Should I configure my machines to use IP6 or will it be disappearing again shortly?
I did read the article on Ars Technica last week saying that the USA had run out of IP4 addresses

Re: IP6 trial extended?

traceroute gives me :
lo0.10.central10.pcl-bng02.plus.net
as my first hop.

Re: IP6 trial extended?

That's one of the new gateways - it would be interesting to see if other gateways are giving IPv6 addresses.

Re: IP6 trial extended?

My first reconnect was to a legacy gateway and I didn't get an allocation, but on the second try I connected to pcl-bng01 and got a /56.
I do hope this is taking us to GA.

What DNS addresses are you being given?

Re: IP6 trial extended?

The new BNG gateways are issuing IPv6 addresses to everyone, although this is not intentional.
There is a thread about it on here somewhere (also anyone on the trial gets issued a different prefix on one of the BNGs).
