Re: On Fibre Would be interested in trialling IPv6

I am on bng as it seems to work ok but the v6 address seems to renew it self at 03:38 & 15:38 is this normal?

Re: On Fibre Would be interested in trialling IPv6

BQM does work on the IPv6 trial Jim, the problem being it became almost impossible to get onto a gateway that supported IPv6. For many of us the bng series doesn't, or at least didn't for several triallists. I believe they did work for some.
Maybe they've part-fixed them now if the OP is getting a short-leased IPv6 address on a bng.

I used to find the first 4 groups were fixed, the second 4 changed, but I didn't look into at what interval. If you run the thinkbroadband BQM that keeps on working, because of that first 4.

Re: On Fibre Would be interested in trialling IPv6

Ah!
What router do you have? Somewhere in decent ones you can find the Lease Expiry time, and also a Lease Renewal interval.
You need the Renewal interval half the Lease Length. It looks like your lease is 12 hours, so needs renewing at 6 hour intervals.
That gives it two chances, in case the first renewal fails. Yours is simply expiring without a renewal, the reconnecting and getting a new one.

I have a AVM 7390 the only settings I can find are 'always on or connect on demand'
