TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Did anybody else see the latency increase between approx. 9pm & 10pm last night (Tue 28 Jan 2014).
It appears to be on IPv6 only.
Router is Billion 7800N.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Never mind the latency - what about that packet loss all day!

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Any other IPv6 customers see a similar hump on their graphs?

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

No - not to the same extent - but my connection was practically idle between 7pm and 10 pm.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Not just last night, seems to happen most nights, some are worse than others.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

What on earth is it with the packet loss on your connection? That's so bad you ought to be raising a fault (unless it's something you are doing).

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

I have raised a fault, ticket 79943732. Waiting for an update which I fear is going to be arranging for an engineer to visit my house when the problem is most likely at the exchange.
Most recent update was on Monday 27 Jan
Quote
I am sorry to see that you are experiencing a speed fault.
I have raised this issue with our suppliers.
They have a standard lead time of 48-72 hours to provide a response however we will check for updates sooner and contact you as soon as one is available.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

It is not just my connection, a neighbour a couple of doors along, also with Plusnet, is getting the same packet loss.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Do you know anyone using an ISP other than Plusnet (but not LLU) on your exchange? If so are they seeing the same issue?

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Have not found anybody else. Everyone I have asked is either Sky, Talktalk or VM cable.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

No BT users? I bet if you look at the wireless networks available there's going to be a homehub near you showing up!

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

One of the "downsides" of living at the end of the lane in a semi-rural area. Not many wireless networks or neighbours.
Just having a look now and can see one VM and three Sky wireless networks.
Probably best if any further discussion on the packet loss is in the topic I opened for that purpose. http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,122504.0.html
I opened this topic to highlight the difference in latency between IPv4 and IPv6 I am observing at certain times of day. I guess that if there is an exchange fault it might be the cause of both the packet loss &  difference in latency.

If one of the mods sees this Would it be possible to move the packet loss discussion to the other thread?

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

I had the same "bump" - some light web browsing during most of that time:

@AndyH
Did you see a hump on other nights?
7 Jan 2014 seemed to be quite bad for me. There was no use at all of my connection that day, house was not occupied.
