Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

7 Jan was not so bad for me

Not sure what I was doing then, but doesn't look like much

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

We suspect the hump is a side effect of lack of IPv6 awareness of the DPI platform at the minute.  We need to enable it, the action of which is queued with our ops guys

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Many thanks for the update. If only the packet loss in the evenings was as easy to resolve.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

It looks like congestion  as it increases significantly around the evening peak time window, and  reduces to next to nothing during the quietest periods 2am till 6/7am that's what shout out to me  re the packet loss

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

I believe it's the same problem we explained before about peak time latency humps and titanium traffic.  Will go when we enable DPI on the IPv6 traffic.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Sorry, just to clear something up here (and maybe a silly question..). When using IPv6, we are assigned static IPv6/IPv4 addresses - should both of these look the same with TBB Ping Monitors or should the IPv4 graph look better because of the DPI?

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

If anything my IPv6 usually looks better.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

That's rather strange - I wonder what the explanation is...?

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

my ipv6 graphs dont look anything like jelv's, packetloss almost every night, if no packetloss still significant latency increases.
of course my ipv4 graphs are also worse than his.
however if my ipv6 graphs are showing loss/massive latency my ipv6 tcp traffic to other destinations doesnt seem affected the same way.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

It's worth pointing out that I was out all day yesterday until around 11pm. Only thing turned on until then was the SamKnows box.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

@ chrcoluk
Is your IPv6 TBB address that of your router or an internal machine?

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

Just an update for me - I set up a TBB for my IPv4 address yesterday:

IPv6:

Both look very comparable for my line.

Re: TBB graph latency increase on IPv6

for both of you ipv6 is worse, I will post some graphs soon.
ok for yesterday on agl08 the best graphs I have seen on plusnet for at least a couple of weeks.
ipv4

ipv6

ipv4

ipv6

I will add both live graphs to my sig as well.
