Quote from: jelv Significant?
Quite possibly.
It looks like Java.com is on Akamai's delivery network, and that will use various techniques to spread load/connect users to a "near" node. it could be that not all their nodes are OK.

I've made no changes my end - but I am unable to access a lot of IPv6 sites again.
Looking at my router log, I am getting a lot of errors all of a sudden:

Quote from: purleigh Although interestingly if I use http://java.com my browser defaults to IPv4, but http://www.java.com uses IPv6.
That would be because java.com does not have an IPv6 address!

I tried Google's v6 DNS servers and they gave the same addresses as OpenDNS v6 DNS servers (which I use).

Quote from: dave Your accounts will have a single static IPv4 and a /56 Ipv6. Our DNS platform has yet to be upgraded to IPv6 so you will be assigned Hurricane Electric's DNS servers when you connect.
