£115 Moving home charge

So i am moving in with my partner, who currently has Now Broadband

I have just phoned plusnet about moving and they have given me 3 options,

1. take out a new 2 year contract, then no moving fee (but i pay £3 more a month), and also get a lower speed than i have now, OK i am further away from the exchange

2. Cancel, but it would cost £140

3. move my existing service and contract (which has 11 months left), but pay £115

told them to leave as it at the moment so we can discuss the options, but since getting off the phone, i have seen on the plusnet website, a moving fee is £65. How can i be charged £50 more than what it states on the website?

Re: £115 Moving home charge

@ctarry86 If your partner already has a service on their current line, to move yours would involve the installation of a second one - I suspect this is where the £115.00 charge comes in.

we wont be having a 2nd line, it would be to take over her current provider

In that case, without seeing how these figures are arrived at, you need a PN Help Team member to advise.

@ctarry86 Eventually, you will get a reply on here, which will most likely direct you to a ticket/question on your account, as this is an account specific question.

In that case, we'd just charge you £65. The extra £49.99 is if we need an engineer to install a phone line.

I can arrange for a colleague to call you back to sort the move out if you would like? Just private message me your phone number and a good time-frame when you'll be available for a call. Smiley

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
