Account Closing You can't change your products for the moment, our system may be updating. Please tr

For months now when I log in I have received this message:


Account Closing
You can't change your products for the moment, our system may be updating. Please try again later.

This means I cannot make any changes to my account. Other posts have suggested this is related to billing, but my monthly billing has carried on as normal and my account is definitely not closing.. Any suggestions? I'm at my wits' end!

A warm welcome to the forums.

This is disconcerting and I recommend you take affirmative action rather than wait for a staffer to pick this up here.  There has been a change in team members today so there is a risk of protracted responses.

Account closing is somewhat worrying, possibly arising from a third party having made an error and placing a line take over order by mistake - these things do happen.  Have you received a "sorry you are leaving" communication?

Log into your account in another tab, then return here and use the PN Tickets link below to see the CRM activity on your account.  You should then phone support.  If the wait appears to be significant, try calling COTS.

Contact Customer Options Team (aka COTS)

COTs is the place to go to if you want to find out anything to do with your contract in respect of leaving, renewing or simply enquiring about early termination charges (ETCs). They have their own number and tend to answer quicker than the general customer service number.

    • 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday
    • 9am - 7pm Saturday
    • 9am - 6pm Sunday


 With some urgency, you need to confirm that there is no malicious line takeover activity in progress.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Thank you for your help - much appreciated. I spoke to someone in COTS and although they had no immediate solution they have elevated it and promised to call me back.

So, what did they advise - is there a line take over in progress on your service?

If you do not get a call back today, phone again tomorrow.  You cannot risk someone being very busy and not getting back to you.

Just to let you know that the problem has now been fixed. I logged in this morning and all was well.
