The broadband contract is only in my name. Its highly likely that I will be moving out soon and I would like to be able to transfer my account to my son's dad as he will be staying in the property and taking over all other bills independently. I cannot find a way to do this, is this possible.
I really struggle with speaking to people on the phone so I was hoping there would be an online chat or way to email etc or just a way to change it via my account.
Thank You

Sorry, @Viixen , as far as I know, it is not possible to do as you would like. The only way I know is for you to cancel your account, and then let your sons dad open a new one - with the resulting disruption. Unless someone, preferably PN staff, knows different.

Plusnet don't allow accounts to be transferred - and closing an account may incur early termination charges.
However, if you know the person that wants to take it over then it is possible to change the direct debit so that they pay for it, and you can also add them as an authorized user. You will still be legally liable if they don't pay - but if you'd have to pay ETCs anyway the risk is low. At the end of your contract period they can take out a contract in their name, and you will have avoided ETCs.
