Being billed line rental after switching providers

I switched to vodafone on Feb 1st, I received the sorry you are leaving mail and supposed final bill amount so plusnet were definitely aware but they are still debiting a full line rental charge from me. Been charged Feb 10th and next payment due March 10th.

I'm paying line rental to the new provider already, why would Plusnet not have cancelled my line rental charge at same time as the broadband?

The sim-le answer is you have yet to have your final bill.

Charging customers for something they're not providing (and presumably refunding later) because they haven't produced a final bill to coincide with the end of contract seems like a fairly sketchy practise to me.

@Gr1m  The way you would like it to happen and what Plusnet's billing system does are two very different things. Your final bill will come about 21 days after you switched so as you have found out you will have paid for another months service which will be refunded eventually,  it just takes some time to sort it out.
