Billing Query/Renewed Contract

Hi
My contract was due for renewal in the beginning of August so renewed it in July.
Received my first new bill today but it is much higher than expected.
I would appreciate some help with this matter please.

Re: Billing Query/Renewed Contract

Oh dear, this question seems to be increasing! Plusnet's creaking accounts system doesn't always apply the discount you may have agreed with the CS staff, so the month after renewal is charged at full rate and the overcharge is credited against your second billing. I'm assuming you renewed before end of contract otherwise you will have to pay full rate for first month until new contract kicks in. My suggestion is to give them a call, this forum doesn't always bring a speedy reply from the hard-working staff members who will gladly sort it out over the phone.

Re: Billing Query/Renewed Contract

Hi Mike

Yes I renewed my contract way before my previous contract had ended which I always make sure I do as I’ve been with Plusnet 15 years plus.
It seemed to be double in cost to what I and Plusnet agreed to.

@Blueyezz

"It seemed to be double in cost to what I and Plusnet agreed to."

Is it exactly double the agreed amount, or just approximately?

I'm just wondering if you have been charged Early Termination Charges on your previous contract, (in error), because it hadn't reached its finishing date when you renewed?

How are the costs on your latest bill broken down?

Re: Billing Query/Renewed Contract

Plusnet is quite keen to renew early and does not charge termination charges on your old contract. Sounds more like the familiar discounts disappearance so as I suggested give them a ring.
