I'm trying to change my direct debit to a different account using my online portal. But whenever I click the button to do this, a new window pops up with the message, "There has been an issue; please consult your system administrator". Any way to fix this?

I fixed this myself by using Firefox instead of a Chromium-based browser. Why an internet company struggles with a type of browser used by the majority of internet users is truly beyond me.
