Charged double for Broadband - Package discount not applied?

Hi folks at Plusnet, 

Can i ask someone to check and/or explain our latest bill please, we've been charged double and on closer inspection and comparison to previous breakdowns it looks like our package discount hasn't been applied. 

We should have the remainder of this month (contract ends 28th Dec). 

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the 3 days we're paying for past the end of the contract causing some billing shenanigans?

That invoice is for next month - you pay a month in advance.

No it's ok i understand.

So am i right in saying that if we don't pay anything extra, we have paid for the month of January already as that is the first month we are out of contract?

@markgarbe Correct - but your next invoice will be at the same price for February - unless you move before it is due, which may be a little bit of a problem, being as it is the holiday period.

I’m not sure that’s entirely correct. Payments are made in advance, but if the bill date was early December (as suggested by the post) then the advance payment would cover the service until early January. 

Do the discounts on the bill (page 2 or 3) show as ending at the contract expiry date? 

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

OK, @Gandalf  - I hadn't read back to the first post when I made that comment, but the principle still stands - just brings it back a month?

Sort of, but if the discounts don't show until the end of the contract, then there's likely a problem.
