Contract not due to end for another month however being billed full price now

Current contract due to end 10 March.

However 10 Feb - 10 March I’ve been billed out of contract price which is almost double my I contract price.

Advice please or am I missing something?

Re: Contract not due to end for another month however being billed full price now

I think we are billed one month in advance, so the rest of March will be at the full rate. If you are renewing your PN contract best give them a ring, otherwise you'll have to pay the full whack. They should have sent you a renewal invite?

If you are changing ISP again I'm not sure but I think you give a month's notice of termination.  Don't instruct PN or any ISP that you are quitting, or you may be cut off with lots of hassle to get it back again. Place the order with your new ISP and they handle everything and (hopefully) synchronise the switchover times.

Re: Contract not due to end for another month however being billed full price now

I appreciate I am billed one month in advance hence this bill covers 10 Feb to 10 March which I’m still in contract for.

I’ve worked out my bill in another’s month time (March-April) should show the out of contract price NOT now.

Or am I going mad?
I have so many run ins with wrong bills, last month with  no exception, so I’m already hitting the stress levels.

member online shows me in month 23 but bb and line rental showing at out of contract price.

thanks for your other advice . Seriously considering going elsewhere!

@LindaB0

What product are you on - ADSL, FTTC or FTTP?

If it's either of the first two do you use your landline?

If you use the landline is your number important to you?

If you change ISP you'll not get offered an old fashioned landline  - it's either basic internet or with VOIP services added on.

Thanks . We’re ADSL, however sadly this doesn’t solve the problem with my bill.

@LindaB0

I appeciate that. This was about giving you information on the perils of switching due to the OpenReach Stop/Sell on copper based circuits.

Have you checked what's available to you recently? You can use the following

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

You're looking for VDSL or WBC FTTP in the left hand column.

Re: Contract not due to end for another month however being billed full price now

@LindaB0 It's frustrating isn't it? I'd give PN a rung tomorrow and I'm sure they will sort it out. The PN accounts system may be modelled on Post Office Horizon and nobody seems to know how it works! It has screwed up every renewal I have had but the long-suffering staff fix it in the end. Otherwise PN is excellent value for money and before moving I would consider the old saying regarding frying pan and fire. Good luck!

Thanks for bringing a smile to my face. Hopefully someone on the forum will pick this up, they tend to be more savvy than the phone. I totally agree with all the billing [-Censored-] ups. Never had a contract to run smoothly.

Re: Contract not due to end for another month however being billed full price now

Please can someone kindly create a ticket for my issue.
I have discovered that basically my discounts have not been applied ( see errors  on bill below).
Discount of £10.47 for anytime calls missing.,

discount of £14.57 BB missing,

Discount if £0.07 LR missing.

I should have paid my usual £26.46 for Bb, LR and anytime calls plus £0.54 additional call charge.

total of £27.00 and NOT the £52.11 I have been billed.

As this is my last month in contract I would appreciate this sorting before I consider a new contract and all the hassles that creates.

Thankyou in advance.
