My current Full Fibre 300 contract runs out tomorrow and I currently pay £34.43 a month (I got an email to say it will go up to £52.54 on 2nd May) when I log into my renewal 'deals' it says I can renew on a full 2 year contract for an inflated £34.99 increasing in one year to £37.99 and then £40.99 the year after. I have been a plusnet/force9 customer for well over 20 years and I see that if I was a new customer I could get my current package for £29.99 on a 2 year contract !!. It doesn't quite seem right when I have been so loyal and have their router etc.. that they would charge me more that someone new where they have to provision the full fibre and routers etc.
If I switch to Sky full fibre 300 I can get a deal for £28 a month or upgrade to full fibre 500 for £32 a month (still cheaper) on 2 year contracts which adds up over 2 years and can also go for Fibrus which will give me full fibre 500 for £29.99 a month on a 2 year contract with no in contract price increases.
I have enjoyed supporting local and being loyal but I have probably been nieve and should switch like car insurance or electricity to the best cheapest alternative.
Just thought I should ask here before I switch if anyone had any negative thoughts on switching to another provider? Loyalty certainly isn't a consideration.
Appreciate any feedback.

I tend to swap at every renewal. I usually flip flop between Sky and PN, but have in the past moved to BT and Vodafone (bad move). You will be told to ring retentions, but that always leaves a bad taste in my mouth, same as with insurance. If they can't offer the best deal first time, I shouldn't have to waste time on the phone chasing discounts.
Just my tuppence worth.

Hi @uhpc2
Thank you for your recent message. I am really sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with the cost of the package renewals. Whilst we aim to offer the best and most competitive prices we need to simultaeneosly enable the market is kept as open as possbile to allow our competitors the opportunity for custom. We do absoultely value loyalty but there is only so far we can go to renewing contracts.
Any further questions then please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thanks
Lee

It's always worth ringing the Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and seeing what you can negotiate. If you don't ask you don't get.
