Hi I received an email today telling me my direct debit had been cancelled and I Don't know why this request didn't come from me, My previous bill was paid via this method and was successful, When I logged into my billing section on the account my direct debit details are still there and it says Active, can someone from support look into this please, Has it been stopped or not ? will I have to re-enter the details again before next bill is due, thanks

Have you logged into your bank to see if it still shows as active there?

@TammyJ Does the email look genuine ? Does it include a link to amend any of your financial details ?

Who was the email addressed to, you by name, your broadband username or something else
I believe a genuine plusnet email would be addressed to you by name or broadband account name, they are for me.
Something like 'Dear Customer' I would treat with suspicion

@TammyJ Yes, take the advice above, this shouts SCAM to me. Above all don't click any links, and login to check your bannk info.

Thanks for the replies, the email is not a scam it is indeed from Plusnet it's addressed to me by name and also my account Username is listed, plus the URL is a genuine Plusnet one, and links go to my member center login page, Will go to my bank and get it sorted tomorrow if I can, I have a sick son at the moment so unable to do.
