End of my contract soon.

Hi All.

My Plusnet Broadband contract ends on the 17th July 2023.

Will it automatically cancel its self along with my monthly payment or do i still have to give notice?

 No it won't. Plusnet will continue your service on a monthly basis, but at the full rate. If you want to cancel (perhaps leaving the country) they require a month's notice AFIK. If moving to another provider set up your new contract with them before PN expires, new provider will arrange the switchover (hopefully) seamlessly. Whatever you do, do not cancel if you want continued service, cancellation causes no end of hassle and you may be cut off for a while.

If staying with Plusnet give them a call and you should get a competitive deal albeit a two-year contract. I renewed two months in advance of my old contract ending. Hope it works out for you!

I will have to phone them near the time then to cancel it as i am moving to another provider.

@karlgixer Have you read @Longliner's post? The only situation where you need to cancel your account directly with Plusnet is if you are moving to a provider that does not use the Openreach network. These could be Virgin media or an Alternative FTTP network (Altnet)

In all other cases you order from the new provider and Plusnet will be informed that you are leaving, so no need to contact them at all.
