House up for sale, don't want a contract

My broadband contract has expired. I see an offer for 18/24 month contracts.

But I will move back in with family when I sell my flat so I don't want a long contract.

Is there any short term contract, or do I need to give notice and find something (maybe a 4g router for a few months) ?

@BobbyF

If you ring the Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and ask they will probably offer you a 12 month contract. Whether this works out cheaper than the monthly out of contract rate is dependent on when you move.

@BobbyF

What are you currently paying monthly for your "out of contract" broadband and line rental ?

Are you on FTTC or ADSL ?

Out of contract: £54.39 per rmonth for Unlimited Fibre Extra inc. Line rental.

Offer was £23.99 per month for 12 months.

No good to me so I've given 14 days notice. I'll try with a 4G modem and £20 per month data SIM card and see how I get on.

You can get the equivalent for £36 on a 30 day rolling contract here - Pulse8 FTTC  or £30 for 40Mb FTTC

How much data do you get for £20 ?,  again Pulse8 mobile  prices look reasonable.

I've used Pulse8 for years now and can highly recommend them !

Asda Mobile (which is Vodafone) has unlimited data for £20 per month.

Have you checked with the Ofcom mobile coverage checker  to see which mobile network will give you the best signal ?

It is worth clicking through to the map view over your address to see the INDOOR DATA coverage for each network
