How to cancel engineer visit

Hi, anyone know the quickest way to cancel an engineer visit? The problem has already been fixed/internet come back on anyway.

@Sarahstephen When is the visit scheduled, and out of interest, what was the problem/how was it rectified?

And can you be certain that it’s not an intermittent fault? An engineer would not have been booked unless there was a degree of confidence that something needs to be fixed.

Re: How to cancel engineer visit

You could just go ahead with the engineer visit, claim that the fault is intermittent but seems to be working at the moment, then ask whether it's worth fitting a new master socket and faceplate filter, and could they disconnect any internal phone extension wiring that will soon become redundant in the next few months due to the imminent PSTN switch off.

You shouldn't get charged for the visit or for refreshing the master socket etc, and you'll be sure that your wires are now perfectly terminated and you'll have a nice new socket and filter.

No fault found visits are no longer chargeable.
