Very fed up with Plus Net today
Rang and asked for a 24 hour extension to pay my bill as I don't get paid until the 5th Jan..
I would have thought that with the cost of living crisis, the huge rise in energy they would be a little more understanding
of financial situations..
They say if you are struggling we will do all we cn to help..
But....
This only applies twice a year..
I had a grace period in July but was told I can not get another one until February, apart from that there is no other
help if you are struggling or having to pay late for whatever reason..
I would have though that only 24 hours would be easily agreed to.. In fact the payment would be made 45 minutes
after midnight which means the extension would really only be less than 1 hour..
I have been ill with Covid and was due a credit on my last bill which was £12, throughout the year I have actually
had numerous credits due to Plus net charging me 20p for using the 1471 service which is actually free...
This is just for 1471, not using 3 to call back..
I was also told in November that someone would call me about my options as am now out of contract, that didn't happen..
So with Covid, Xmas and everything else I haven't been well enough to call in to discuss contract options.
When I called today the lady was friendly enough until I told her I would be paying the bill less than one day late,
she then went off came back and was quite abrupt telling me I'd already had a grace period, the attitude was similar
to a child being told off, I said to her the payment would probably be made less than hour after midnight to which she replied
If you don't pay, your service will be suspended and you will incur 7.50 late payment and something else, then just
ended the call
If this is the help and support if you have trouble paying then they can keep it..
I'm now looking at options with another company, I don't really want to leave Plus net because my service has always
been very good... But.. the customer service needs improving... there will be other people like me getting paid on the 5th
when deadline for bill is 4th..
I will now be charged god knows what for the payment being 45 minutes late

Is the date in question the invoicing date or the invoicing date plus the mythical 14 days “Grace” period?

It would be 14 days and about 1 hour since the 20th billing date
I had no idea I can change the billing date - thanks for that

Invoices are due for payment on the date presented, so if you need to move the 20th to the 5th of the following month, you will need to make that adjustment (if I recall correctly) at least a week before the next invoice is raised.
