New Contract Incorrect Price

I have just started a new 18 month contract and the broadband monthly charge is incorrect. It is showing as £28.63 when it should be £23.99.

Can anyone help please?

Happens all the time, PN Computer says @Yippee, let's have some fun with this new contract.' Best way is to give them a ring, have your details ready.

Re: New Contract Incorrect Price

Joking aside, this is an issue that is repeatedly reported on these forums and, given that the forums are not frequented by more than a small proportion of customers, I hate to think just how prevalent this problem is.

The errors reported always seems to be in Plusnet's favour,. At least, I cannot recall seeing a post citing the error in the customer's favour!

I think I encountered similar errors in my last three renewals which had to be sorted by staff who have better things to do.  Therefore Plusnet either have to sort out an errant computer program or they have to better train the sales staff to ensure they put the correct details into the system. There really is no excuse.

I (and I assume a few others) did benefit when the new system was introduced a few years ago - Plusnet were unable to raise a bill for my business account for a few months so they wrote the charges off.

Mind you, when they did resume charging they could never get the direct debit to work for some reason, and couldn't set up a new one - so the monthly bill wasn't paid, and every month my services were suspended. I couldn't pay manually in advance because I had a direct debit set up, so could only pay once services were suspended. Not good to have a half day with no broadband every month (and the hassle of phoning up to pay) for a business that relies on it.

When I got to the end of the contract I moved to 4G.

Re: New Contract Incorrect Price

@spin42 It could be a number of reasons why your bill is higher this month. The most likely reason is that this will be a pro rata in-between the old contract and the new contract.
