New contract price different to what I agreed to.

Our 18 month contract runs out on the 27th November 2022

There was no other options to choose except staying with what we have.

Which is Unlimited Fibre Extra inc. Line rental £30.85 and we had Unlimited UK & Mobile calls for £10.28 coming to a total of £41.13.

Because of this new increase in prices every march, I decide to drop the phones calls.

Which left me with a 18 month contract at £30.85

But I have just received an email saying the new price starting at 28th November will be £47.54

which is absurd, how can it go from £41.13 with unlimited calls to £47.54 with no calls?

But that is not what I signed up for. It clearly stated the monthly cost would be £30.85. which is obvious, if you continue the same contract without the unlimited calls that’s the price.

I cannot afford £47.54 a month and then the added cost in march will put it over £50.

And even if I could afford it, why would I pay more for less, without the unlimited calls.

I was looking at moving to another service, one that doesn’t keep putting their prices up, but their prices weren’t cheaper than what we were paying here, but now this changes things, if plusnet wants to charge £47.54 with no unlimited calls then there’s no need to stay.

And just to make it clear, the total that I was given at the checkout for the new 18 month contract was £30.85 there was no mistake on my end.

If anyone can help me get the price I signed up for I will stay, If not I won’t stay to get ripped off.

Can you post the email, removing any identifying details? I suspect any discounts have either been missed or not highlighted.

OK - something doesn't look correct there - do you happen to have the equivalent email for your current contract?

Re: New contract price different to what I agreed to.

No. I never save emails.

Like you said, there doesn’t seem to be a discount added to it, which is always added to my bills.

But I don’t understand why that wasn’t added,When they offered to renew the contract at the same price minus the free calls.

A pity you don't save emails of that nature, at least, but maybe you could call them and see what they can do - if you are a renewing customer, you should be able to negotiate a discount.

Re: New contract price different to what I agreed to.

Yeah I guess. But ive never had to use an email for anything after receiving it.

Calling seems to be the only way, which is what I was trying to avoid. Can’t stand ringing call centres.

Back in the day a simple email to customer service would of got the sorted already.

Anyway! Thanks for your help
