Out of date cheque

Hi, I have just found a refund cheque from Plusnet which is 8 months old. My bank have refused to cash it. Its not for a lot of money and the bank are just being arsy. Who could I send it to to have a new one issued. Thanks

@barrysh Try a different branch of the bank. I’ve had a similar problem (not with Plusnet) and I took it to a different branch. The teller queried it but accepted it anyway saying the banks were unlikely to bother bouncing it for a small amounts suggesting that under £25 wasn’t worth the bother.as the date was the only issue.

Or use your banking app and pay it in that way.

Or an ATM.

Paid in an Ernie cheque which was 3 months out of date at an ATM with no bother.
