Question about domain originally registered for free with Freenetname

I wonder if someone can help me. In February 2000 I registered a domain free with Freenetname. This was continued through Madasafish then yourselves. Is the domain free for life or does it have an expiry date? Having looked on whatsmydns.com the domain name shows as being updated in February this year and has an expiry date of February next year. As I discontinued the email address attached to the domain some time ago please could you advise?

Hey there @Dragonfly and welcome to the forum. The Domain is free for as long as we are supplying it It will auto renew every year so you don't need to contact us to do anything either.
