Taking payment after I have already paid.

My payment was due 24th December and to keep on top of things I paid this on the 17th… yet the payment still came out of my account again on 24th so I’ve now paid double…. Not to mention the fact this has now left my bank account overdrawn…

Merry Christmas…… ?!

Re: Taking payment after I have already paid.

When was the bill raised? These dates look too tight for the orthogonal payment to have been processed as a credit on the account.

Re: Taking payment after I have already paid.

Making a payment manually close to the DD date can be disastrous.

You're probably best using the DD guarantee to request that the bank returns the overpayment making sure the DD still stands for January.
