Use of DCA..Before the 14 days to pay final bill

We left Plusnet after being advised they are part of BT -As wanted just Broadband....We where advised by the sales person.Plusnet will charge you for leaving as you have broken your contract...Just send the Bill to BT and they will pay this bill..BT did not pay the bill they put a credit on the account ...Now Plusnet have sent the account to A debt collection agent ...I will add the invoice was sent on the 04.04.2023 giving us 14 days ...we rang yesterday before the 14 days to be told the account was closed and sent to DCA On the 16.04.2023 this is not 14 days -Plus net agents refused to take a payment and could not give us any ways to Pay saying if you pay us your money will be refunded....Just gob smacked at this kind of Treatment ....i see if you are no longer a customer the treatment is SO TERRIBLE ....
