how long do i need to leave for to count as a new customer?

last time i renewed they wouldnt match the deal new customers were being offered

i was thinking i could leave and use a data sim for a month or so then would be able to get a new customer deal ?

or is there a way to get the same good deal new customers are being offered ?

@steveo3002 To be a 'new' customer in the situation you are describing, you would have to have a years gap.
