I'm here @CoolerKing . I'm not Prov trained but I am definitely more than happy to oversee this and make sure it is done. I've got my contacts in the department and can get you an update where possible.

It's booked for 8am 5th December 22. I'll be asking questions of the Openreach guys from the outset regarding leaving my copper connection until full fibre is on line. The router will be in place and ready for switch on and given there's no drilling and easy access to the router there should be no reason for this to not be a simple job.

Awesome, I will put this on hold until the 5th and double check it for you and then when we will take it from there. I hope I don't need to do anything with it but if I do, you're in safe hands.

Installation day 5th December 2022. 8am to 1pm. Router in place. No drilling through required. All holes for cable access already available. It's gone 8am so will continue this when they arrive.

Lone Engineer arrived 9am. McQuinn for Openreach. Helped him get the optic cable across next door's garden then across flat roof. Nice guy. Very professional and super fast. Switched on, tested and all running ok up to now.
I'm dumbfounded why the Openreach guy on 8th September 22 couldn't have done it. I'll not close this until I'm sure everything is stable.
