Ending contract early

Hi all

So ive 3 months left on my contract and am looking to leave early as full fibre from another company is enabled and its alot cheaper plus ive no date for when plusnet full fibre is coming .

Does anyone know how much per month you're charged for termination etc ?

(have 72mb fibre and phone line )

Is it a case of just signing up to my new provider and then plusnet bill me for termination ?

Cheers

Re: Ending contract early

@adamd1 To get a ball-park figure for ETC's, multiply your monthy price by the number months reaming - it will be  a little less than that - or you could call Customer Options on 0800 013 2632 - but don't tell them you  are moving.

Yes, just sign up with your new provider - when your new service starts, PN will calculate the ETC's an send you a final bill.

Having said all that, though, as your new service will not be over the OR network, you most likely will have to call PN and cancel the PN account - then they will close the account and send you a final bill, within 21 days. Don't cancel until your new service is up and running though.

@adamd1

You also lose your phone service. If your number matters to you you have 30 days to port it to a VOIP provider - unless the AltNet offers a VOIP service.

Re: Ending contract early

Just did this myself.

Had fibre installed. When it was up and running, raised a request to port our number out to A&A which took 5 days to port. This ceased my line with PN.

Had an email to say sorry your leaving and a figure of £63 early termination as leaving before contact end of November 2024.

Note that I also just paid a bill to 18th August of £25
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 
