I finally exchanged one a house today with completion next Friday 25th. The current occupant is on ADSL and it's an FTTP area so can't migrate fully from PlusNet.
I currently have FTTC with Plusnet which obviously I can't get in the new place.
Going on the BT website the earliest I can get fibre installed is 11 March. Which is a shame as I could get £100 cash back reducing the monthly cost to circa £26 over 24 months.
Phoned Plusnet today and agreed the simplest option to keep me online is to activate ADSL (at £25.98 a month!!) from move-in date, then they will call me and arrange to upgrade to FTTP with BT at £29.99 a month.
Suppose I'm penny pinching here given the amount I'v spent on solicitors fees and the house, but there's not a cheaper way of doing this is there?
