FTTP Install Engineer ETA

Booked FTTP for a couple of weeks time, with BT due between 08:00 and 13:00.  Bit vague, do they call just before to whittle that down to smaller timeframe by any chance?  Thanks!

Fix

@TooTangled

Afraid not.

If you're lucky you will be first on the list. If not, it all depends on how long the previous job(s) takes. If there's any problem it could be after 13.00

Ah OK, thanks!

Too much to expect them to be that organised I guess. 😕

@TooTangled

For once it's not really the fault of OpenReach. Until they get to each job, they do not know how long it's going to take.

For example my install was quick as not only was the u'g chamber next door in my neighbour's garden the backbone network installers had checked the u/g duct, provan it clear and left a draw rope in place. Even if it seems straight forward each job is different.

Allow 90 minutes for your install and then see how long it takes.
